Supporting London’s Innovators
The Future Industries Demonstrator (FID) advances London’s Just Transition by helping local SMEs scale bold, innovative solutions.
Based at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London’s living testbed and Innovation District, FID accelerates the development of technologies and ideas tackling the city’s most urgent challenges.
FID aims to
- Foster innovation diffusion and clustering
- Support the acceleration and scaling of innovative solutions
- Grow the impact economy and support climate resilience
Our Focus
Between 2023 and 2025, FID delivered fifteen innovation trials across three Innovation Cycles. These trials validated and developed the solutions developed by some of London’s most exciting innovators.
FID also delivers the Loop Circular Economy Hub in Hackney Wick. The Loop provides essential space and partnerships for circular SMEs with a focus on waste reduction, carbon footprint minimisation, and local economic growth.
FID also provides additional business support through workshops, networking, and webinars, supporting 215 SMEs so far.
