Challenge Overview
As one of the fastest-developing urban locations in Europe, east London offers the perfect opportunity to demonstrate solutions that make large metropolitan areas more sustainable. By future-proofing our own landscape, we can set the standard for cities worldwide and lead the charge toward creating more resilient urban hubs.
This challenge aimed to highlight the efforts of London innovators striving to reshape buildings and energy systems for a net zero future. It focused on uncovering bold, holistic solutions that understand the complex interactions between the various aspects of our built environment.
The five SMEs selected for the challenge were companies that demonstrated the foresight, vision, and capability to help reimagine east London’s built environment for a greener future.
