This guided tour of the temporary exhibition from SHIFT and UCL explores the new technologies and approaches to data that will shape the way we live, but are often invisible. SHIFT is working with innovators on everything from building materials made from biochar to AI-powered buildings — and we want to show our stakeholders what these look and feel like before they are integrated into our urban fabric and used to improve our lives.

Attendees are asked to arrive promptly and meet at the lobby space of UCL East – One Pool Street. The guided tour will begin within the 10 minutes of the event.

A member of the SHIFT team will guide you through the exhibition space, introduce you to the various artefacts, and be available to answer any questions you might have as you explore the exhibition. The curated selection of artefacts from SHIFT and UCL showcase how startups, researchers, and communities are already building tomorrow’s city. These artefacts include physical solutions that will act as the building blocks of our cities, digital solutions tackling pressing issues, and experimental interventions straddling both the physical and digital.

This guided experience offers local businesses and the public the opportunity to see these artefacts firsthand, gain insights into future trends, explore new partnerships within the SHIFT ecosystem, and maintain a competitive edge in an increasingly data-driven and sustainable market.

The exhibition will take place at UCL East – One Pool Street, which is within a 12-minute walk from Stratford and Stratford International stations, and a 20-minute walk from Hackney Wick Overground station.
